The following chart is Polystyrene price in East China. Red line is the price of 2026, the blue one is that of 2025, and the red one is that of 2024. Polystyrene recent price (the 5th week of 2026) is ￥7950, about 10.7% higher than two weeks ago.
Two reasons result in the price change. The first reason is WTI price grew. WTI recent price is $59.62, about 2% higher than two weeks ago.
The second reason is Styrene price grew. Styrene recent price is ￥7820, about 12% higher than two weeks ago. The increase in raw material prices has driven up the prices of downstream products.
Polystyrene price is not impacted by the increase of inventory.
