The following chart is Polystyrene price in East China. Red line is the price of 2026, the blue one is that of 2025, and the red one is that of 2024. Polystyrene recent price (the forth week of Jan 2026) is ￥7200, about 20% lower than the same time of 2025.
Polystyrene supply declined last week. A device in Nanjing and a device in Guangxi have been restarted recently, and a device in Jiangsu and a device in Zhejiang have reduced one production line, respectively. Factories may reduce production in this week, due to profit shrinkage. It is expected that downstream demand will weaken and inventory may slightly increase.
