The production processes of Satellite Chemical's C2 products mainly include the following aspects:

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

Production Process: Satellite Chemical uses LyondellBasell's Hostalen ACP process technology to produce HDPE, employing Ziegler-Natta catalysts with butene as the comonomer, capable of producing both single-peak and multi-peak products. Single-peak products feature a narrow molecular weight distribution, high melt strength, easy processing, and good mechanical properties; multi-peak products have a broad molecular weight distribution, offering balanced processing and mechanical properties, especially the distribution of comonomers on the high molecular chain, which endows hollow, pipe, and film products with excellent mechanical properties and resistance to environmental stress cracking.

Ethylene Oxide (EO) and Ethylene Glycol (EG)

Production Process: Satellite Chemical adopts the EO ester exchange process route to produce DMC (dimethyl carbonate), which has environmental advantages and is characterized by mature technology, mild reaction conditions, low equipment investment, high production safety, high reaction efficiency, and high product purity. The company's complete industrial chain, with EO production capacity leading among domestic private enterprises, effectively alleviates upstream cost pressures. Moreover, the company utilizes high-purity ethane (purity over 99%) to produce downstream products with high purity requirements. Producing 1 ton of DMC results in a by-product of 0.6 tons of ethylene glycol, increasing the company's revenue.

Ethane Cracking to Ethylene

Production Process: Satellite Chemical produces ethylene through ethane cracking, establishing an ethane import channel and constructing ethane cracking ethylene facilities to obtain low-cost ethylene raw materials. On this basis, the company has also built functional chemicals and high molecular new materials such as high-density polyethylene (HDPE), styrene, ethylene oxide, ethylene glycol, acrylonitrile, and polyether macro monomers.

Satellite Chemical's C2 products, including High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Ethylene Oxide (EO), and Ethylene Glycol (EG), benefit from advanced production processes that enhance quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

Technology: Satellite Chemical uses LyondellBasell's Hostalen ACP process, enabling precise control over molecular weight distribution for both single-peak and multi-peak HDPE.

Catalyst: Ziegler-Natta catalysts with butene optimize polymerization, yielding HDPE with high melt strength and good mechanical properties.

Performance: This results in HDPE that is versatile, with applications in packaging, construction, and automotive industries.

Ethylene Oxide (EO) and Ethylene Glycol (EG)

Environment: The EO ester exchange process for DMC is environmentally friendly, reducing the environmental footprint.

Efficiency: This process is mature, with mild reaction conditions, reducing energy consumption and operational risks.

Cost: A complete industrial chain and leading EO capacity mitigate upstream costs. High-purity ethane use and ethylene glycol by-production enhance cost-effectiveness.

Purity: High-purity DMC and EG are crucial for sensitive industries, ensuring product quality and safety.

Ethane Cracking to Ethylene

Raw Materials: Ethane cracking secures low-cost ethylene, providing a competitive edge in pricing.

Supply Chain: Ethane import channels ensure a stable raw material supply, enhancing supply chain resilience. Product

Portfolio: Diversified downstream products like HDPE, styrene, EO, EG, acrylonitrile, and polyether macro monomers maximize value and meet varied market demands.

In summary, Satellite Chemical's C2 processes deliver high-quality, cost-effective products with a minimized environmental impact, leveraging advanced technologies and strategic raw material sourcing.

General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) 9003-53-6

General purpose polystyrene (GPPS) 9003-53-6 have many advantages, including:

General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) is a transparent, rigid, and lightweight thermoplastic polymer. It has a specific gravity of 1.05 g/cm³ and a refractive index of 1.59. GPPS is highly resistant to moisture and has good electrical insulation properties. It is commonly used in applications that require good dimensional stability and transparency, such as packaging, office supplies, and household items.

GPPS is a brittle material with low-impact strength. It has a tensile strength of 50-60 MPa and a flexural modulus of 2,200-2,500 MPa.
