Saudi Aramco has increased its official selling prices for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for October 2026, reflecting higher international energy prices and stronger global LPG demand.
According to Reuters, Saudi Aramco raised its propane contract price by USD 55 per metric ton to USD 680 per metric ton.
The company's butane contract price increased by USD 70 per metric ton to USD 730 per metric ton.
The adjustments represent increases of approximately 9% for propane and 11% for butane compared with September.
Saudi Aramco's LPG official selling prices serve as important benchmarks for Middle Eastern LPG exports to the Asia-Pacific region.
Propane is also a major petrochemical feedstock, particularly for propane dehydrogenation (PDH) units producing propylene.
Higher propane prices can increase feedstock costs for PDH producers and influence the production economics of downstream petrochemical products.
The October price adjustments highlight the close relationship between international LPG markets, energy costs and petrochemical production.
Regional propane prices and feedstock availability will remain important factors for petrochemical producers and international traders.
