According to Kpler data, the volume of U.S. crude oil scheduled for loading in April 2026 and heading to China is close to 600,000 barrels per day. Currently, multiple tankers are en route to the Port of Corpus Christi in southern Texas, which is the largest petroleum loading and unloading port in the United States.

Background information indicates that China suspended purchases of U.S. crude oil starting from February 2025 and suspended purchases of U.S. LNG starting from December 2024. In 2024, China's total crude oil imports amounted to approximately $325.1 billion, with U.S. crude oil accounting for 1.8% of the total.
