China Butyl Acrylate Prices Rise Amid Higher Feedstock Costs

Leave a message

China's butyl acrylate (BA) market recorded price increases in late October 2026, supported by higher upstream raw material costs and adjustments in production operating rates.

According to market data published on October 26, butyl acrylate prices in East China increased by RMB 150 per metric ton, reaching RMB 9,600 per metric ton.

Prices in North China also increased by RMB 150 per metric ton, while South China recorded a larger increase of RMB 200 per metric ton, reaching RMB 9,850 per metric ton.

Meanwhile, n-butanol prices increased by RMB 200 per metric ton, adding to production cost pressures across the acrylic ester value chain.

Butyl acrylate is primarily produced from acrylic acid and n-butanol. Changes in these upstream feedstock prices directly influence production economics.

Industry data also indicated that China's butyl acrylate capacity utilization rate stood at approximately 55.56% on October 26.

Butyl acrylate is widely used in coatings, adhesives, sealants, and acrylic polymer production.

The recent price adjustments highlight the important role of raw material costs and production conditions in shaping China's butyl acrylate market.
