Qatar Plans to Ramp Up LNG Output After Strait of Hormuz Reopens

Leave a message

Qatar plans to quickly increase LNG production after the Strait of Hormuz reopens, aiming to restore most of its export capacity within two months.

QatarEnergy expects production to rise to around 50% of capacity within one month once safe navigation through the strait resumes, and to around 80% of capacity within two months.

Damage caused by Iran's missile attack in March means that the remaining capacity may take several years to fully recover.
